The Truth about Cognitive Tests – One Dog Sheds Light on How Dogs Think

There has been so much news about cognitive tests lately that my youngest dog, Hobbs, volunteered to take a similar test designed for dogs. His answers provide an interesting window on how dogs think. The first question asks specific questions about agility, but subsequent questions explore the mental health of all dogs.

As you can see, he passed the test with flying colors with exceptional reasoning. It’s the best any dog has ever done. 

I would love to hear what other questions I should have asked. For instance, what would our pups call weave poles? What shape could I have asked them to draw? The human version has a cube to be replicated.
